Gazelle was born from a deep appreciation for heritage and a passion for innovation. Our founder, whose family roots trace back to the Mediterranean, grew up with Arak as a centerpiece of family gatherings and celebrations.
After moving to California and immersing himself in the state's rich wine and spirits culture, he recognized an opportunity to create something unique: a premium Arak that would honor tradition while embracing the exceptional agricultural bounty of California.
A Vision Takes Shape
In 2018, after years of research and experimentation, Gazelle was established with a clear mission: to produce original, high-quality Arak using California grapes—bringing together old-world heritage and new-world craftsmanship.
We partnered with select vineyards in Northern California to source the finest grapes, while importing the highest quality natural anise to ensure an authentic flavor profile. Our small-batch approach allows us to maintain hands-on oversight of every bottle we produce.

Gazelle remains a family-owned and operated business, with multiple generations contributing their expertise and passion. We named our spirit "Gazelle" as a nod to the grace, beauty, and cultural significance of this animal in Mediterranean traditions.
